PC Issues...
It AMAZES me how many issues so many people have with their PC's... I hardly EVER have an issue! Some have more than others though! Titus comes to mind! :) Anyway, if anyone has any issues with their laptops, and they want me to look at them, I need to know what sort of issues so I can bring the appropriate hardware or software with me to Monterey! :)

I think my problem was that I downloaded a virus. I don't want to shell out the 60 bucks a year or whatever for mcafee or norton and just use windows defender and try to be careful... but alas, I obviously allowed something in. :-|
My other problem is that I know just enough about computers to be dangerous. lol

yeah I just keep using the "60 day trial verson" but then I can't download any new virus definitions b/c I won't pay that much money for a bunch of 0s and 1s, you know?!
I'm actually thinking PERHAPS Mcafee GAVE me a virus after I didn't pay to install the new virus definitions after my trial period was up!?!?!? It's all a conspiracy!!!! lol
I have a virus free laptop (I just felt like bragging because it makes me feel good.)
I ALSO have a virus free laptop!! I don't think I've EVER gotten a virus!! :)
I also NEVER have to download virus definitions, they download all on their own! :)
I'm not sure what that means. But good for you Matt. I'm proud of you and your independent laptop.
LOL! It just means that it checks for new definitions without human intervention, and whenever new ones are available, it downloads them and updates itself... :)

well mine were updating on their own as well during the 'trial version' (which incidentally started over b/c I recovered the laptop so I get to use it for 60 days again - which should get me through until you give me something better in CA). :) But when the 'trial version' ended it was all "buy it for 59.95" or whatever ridiculous price they were asking and I was like "no" and so it gave me a virus to say "we'll teach HER". My theory anyway. Or I SUPPOSE I could have gotten a virus somewhere else, but really I don't know where b/c I don't frequent shady websites and I don't download stuff I've never heard of. So who knows. I DID give a virus to my other computer b/c I was trying to download a Gilmore Girls episode off limewire that I had missed, and yeah - it wasn't a Gilmore Girls episode. Oh well.

not sure why we always have probs with the laptop just dying!!! no fun for us. We are going to get a new computer sometime soon, but with all the expenses of the wedding, we are just having to hold off on the WANTS and just pay for the NEEDS.
No need to get a new computer! I still am using the laptop that Titus THOUGHT was dead when I was out there last time and traded my working laptop for the laptop he THOUGHT was dead! :)
I'll bring my software/tools though and salvage your photos! (Or attempt to I should say :)
