ER...

Yeah, I JUST got back from there...

I was outside checking on the pool cleaner, slipped on a broken piece of flagstone, landed in the spa and on the way down I somehow managed to snap my thumb knuckle and shove it out the back side of my thumb... OUCH! Of course we leave for the airport in two and a half hours, so I suppose I should probably go to bed... At least we didn't have to postpone, because they were talking at first about micro surgery and spending the night...

OUCH! That sounds painful!! And to do it the night before you're leaving - after all the weeks of work you've been doing and no injuries!!!

I hope you guys have a safe trip to california! I'll see you out there next week.

Well that sucks. You gonna sue the pool people?

:-O Oh no!!! That sucks a lot!! Hopefully you are getting some sleep on the plane.

I did try to sleep on the plane, but the pain pretty much prevented it. Of course the doctor did tell me it would be MUCH worse in the air, not sure why, but at the time, I wasn't paying that close attention...

I was popping those vicodin like candy on the plane, to no avail... :(

LUCKILY, the doctor who fixed me up has a license to prescribe drugs in CA as he used to live in Sacramento... :)

It IS rather bizarre though, that ALL the crap I do around my house, and a freak accident like that happens... Tis life I suppose! :)

Oh Vicodin does NOTHING when I take it (they gave it to me after I had Jacob, for the afterbirth pains). If you double it with 800 mg of Advil, it works much better (the nurse at the hospital gave me that tip and she was right). :)

I tried your 'Vicodin' tip just now, I'll let you know how that works out! :)

GREAT call on the Vicodin/Advil combo there Petra!!!!! Yesterday I was popping those Vicodin ALL day long and was still in severe pain for most of the day, today, AS SOON as I read your little tip there, I did it, I've not taken hardly ANY all day and have felt ZERO pain all day!! So Thanks Petra!!! :)

Oh good! I'm glad that the drug combo worked out. :) I don't know why they even prescribe Vicodin (especially when they don't accompany it with extra strength ibuprofen) because it doesn't work on it's own. The dr. in Texas told me there was too many people abusing Percocet so they rarely prescribe it anymore... Uh... having a baby? Breaking your hand?!?! I think those probably qualify as a legitimate need for real pain killers. Oh well. What can you do? :)
