Day 18...

Didn't do much, just delivered two pallets of flagstone and a pallet of mortar...

Of course I think they said that the gunite needed to dry/cure for three days... I wonder if they will be out tomorrow? We'll see! :)

Soon after I posted, they brought out a dump truck load of sand. Tanner and Taylor started playing in it soon after... :)

I NEED to be out there working, but it's like 95 degrees out!! So I'm 'figuring out' the plumbing instead! :)

lol. yeah, it's pretty hot here too! (which is not normal for monterey)

what's up with the white box on the stake?

That is the box for the pool permit. I'm actually 'supposed' to have boxes like that for the deck and pool house building permits as well... :) I guess I'll get around to that once I call for the first inspections...

It won't be long! I can't wait until we are there either, because that means I don't have to do shit for 13 days but enjoy myself!!! :D

It's not hot here. It's absolutely gorgeous. Of course, I have no outdoor work to do at the moment so it doesn't really matter - lol - speaking of work, I need to get back to my unpacking. I won't be able to take living with boxes for much longer. Time to make it livable. We are struggling trying to figure out what to do with the TV though - the movers broke our entertainment center (nice of them), but we actually wanted something new anyway since the entertainment center didn't match anything else in our house. There is a 'nook' above our fireplace which is meant for a TV, but there is no place for the DVD, VCR, etc. so I have been out looking for some kind of stand to put up there to set the TV on and the DVD, etc. under, but no such thing exists. Why don't I build one, you ask? We don't have much in the way of tools. We USED to... but they 'disappeared' when we were working on that house in Louisville. Long comment, I know. I'm putting off functioning this morning because once I start I know I won't stop until tonight.

LOL Petra. Yeah, we have always been the same way, unpack NOW!! Do the movers not have to pay for the stuff they break?!?!?

Yeah they have to pay for it, but we have to fill out forms and submit them, etc. It may be a WHILE before we see any of that money.
