Amateur Videos...

My kids are into this whole video making thing, but the light sucked pretty much... So I decided to solve the issue by making some 'portable' lights for them... Here is the result, I'll post one of their videos once they have made it...

Almost done...

I built two of them for them...

It's amazing how this whole video making thing works, I've learned a lot though... I did buy them a shotgun microphone, and a microphone stand with a boom, but then I started looking at prices for lighting, I was like, umm... NO! So I just made them myself... When they have a video made, I'll post it on YouTube and link to it here... They are having a blast with it though... :)

Still not sure why everyone wanted me to put my blog back up after I deleted it... When I deleted my blog, I got over 30 e-mails telling me to put it back up... Yet still few comment... I'll get to the elections soon... :)

I think there are a lot of lurkers out there - I have a lot of them too. Maybe they have nothing to say but just like to read. :)

Lights are cool! My kids asked me to build one for them... uh, no! LOL :D

LOL Petra... They were rather easy to make actually, I'll bet you could make them... :)

Not a bad idea about the wheels Titus...

It's not a question of ability, Matt! LOL (I think I'd rather spend $400 on one if they wanted one THAT bad than spend $20 to build one myself) :D

I can't believe how much you go all out for your kids! I'm still up for adoption, by the way. . .

I read your blog even if I don't always comment, so please do keep it going no matter if the viewers are commenting or not.

LOL... Okay, I'll adopt you Daniel... :)

I'm more amazed at people who don't 'go all out for their kids'... You only have them for a small amount of time, and I intend to enjoy them to the fullest!!

The reason I do some of the things I do for them, is I do NOT want them to buy into the whole 'graduate, go to college, work for the man, retire, then die' mentality that is thrust upon everyone... I want them to think outside the box... They will, if I have anything to do with it, and I have a LOT to do with it actually... :)

I'll keep it going this time Daniel, even if the only ones who post are you and Petra, and a few others occasionally... :)

I go all out for mine too. LeRoy thinks I am a bit crazy, but I think it was good for Andrea and good for the boys. They are very bright and know things that a lot of kids don't. Matt's kids are quite bright and very creative. My friends from Australia are the same about their kids. They are helping their 10 year old make a CD and their oldest son make movies. Actually some Mennonite (sp) and Amish socities do this. By watching your child attempt different things you can help them attain what they are good at or make the most of the gifts that God has given them.

I'm with you Timberly... It's AMAZING how little kids these days know, I think I've mentioned this before, but Cory's teacher asked his class when he was in 10th or 11th grade who knew who Bill Gates was, Cory was the only one who knew... ASTOUNDING!! I try to teach my kids about everything, and I think people who don't are idiots and do a great disservice to their children and put them at an extreme disadvantage...
