Surprises...

Carolyn and I don't buy into the whole commercialization thing that goes on... I didn't even think that was a word actually and had to look it up... Tanner however does buy into it... He came to me a few minutes ago and wanted to know what I had gotten Mommy... I told him I didn't get her anything... He was shocked... He told me, "We have to get her something"... Off to the store Tanner and I went... When we got back from the store, no one had realized we had left.. Stealth mode... :) We got some flowers and other stuff for Carolyn... I still think it is the most commercialized holiday going... Idiot born every minute...

Tanner was happy though... He was so proud, I wish I had snapped a pic of him handing Carolyn those flowers...

Yeah, reminds me of that radio commercial I've heard several times in the past few days....it starts off like; "It's valentine's day, and you want to get your sweetheart something. But the thing you want to get her costs over a thousand dollars....." Then goes on to say how if you buy your jewelry at their store, it's a lot cheaper than "other" stores.

Most people just follow the crowd though - if everyone else is doing something, they feel they must do it too.

Of course, I don't really have any problem with buying your sweetheart something for v-day, but spending "thousands" of dollars on them....unless you have money to burn....I don't see.

I like V-day. My co-worker told me this morning that the radio guy said the average man spends something like $150 on his "sweety." I'm nowhere near that, but a little thing or two is cool. . .

I love Valentine's Day and I am like Tanner - I buy into the commercialism. :D Actually, I didn't get too much for Andy (a handmade card with lots of mushy stuff written in it, some candy, and a Starbucks gift card), but for me - he had flowers sent to the house, brought me cute love monkey balloons last night - because I love monkeys - and had a cookie cake made for me. He's a sweetie! :)

I'm guessing Carolyn liked the flowers too :)

Yep, BIG fan of V-Day! I think we get so busy with our life and in a routine, that it is a good excuse to go out and tell your special someone that you love them! Titus and I got all dressed up (I even put on a dress and make-up) and went to a nice dinner together. We have not been out to eat besides Costco for a hot dog in months! It was a great!
