Yeah, and the even sadder part is, we'll actually only pay interest on the debt to China for the next 30 years, so it will wind up being MUCH more than 150 billion, or rather 200 billion once the Senate gets through handing out money to a bunch more worthless idiots who don't deserve it.
it is absolutely ludicrous that the government wants to promote spending in our ecomony when most americans are a paycheck away from bankruptcy. the spending when you can't afford it is what started the fiasco in the first place!
No shit. That is why we have the economy we do, no one saves, everyone spends everything they make plus another 10, 20 or 30%... Then they file bankruptcy, and once all their old debt is "wiped" out, then they start over again, spend, borrow, spend, etc. Stunning really!
