Wow!! What a song! Here is a question for you: who were the two original Eagles?? Okay, whatever... I'm not doing much this second, although I have been busy... Now who DOESN'T like the song????
I like the Eagles - lots of good singalong music there. I have no idea what any of their names are though. I suppose if I heard them I'd go "oooh yeah."
I was thinking of posting some videos of music I like on my blog - just haven't gotten around to it. Although not many share my eclectic taste in music. lol
Give it a shot and see... (on putting the video on your blog... :)
I'm addicted to this song btw, I'm sure my family is GLAD I have headphones, because if I didn't, we'd ALL be listening to it, over, and over, and over... :)
I love the eagles, the boys and I can sing word for word most of their songs :)
whats with listening to the same song over and over? remember inside the pocket of a clown? from ohio? that song is branded into my brain from hearing it 7000 times :) i do still like it though, it brings back a few memories...
You must be thinking of someone else there Marci, one of the few Dwight Yoakam songs I NEVER did like!! Of course I did like other selections from that CD... :)
Eagels are great. I can't sing to save my tail, but I sure like to try. :D Sadly, I have been listening to nothing but Josh Grobin Christmas carols lately! :D
"...is a sad place to hang around, just watching smiles turn into frowns..." I love that song! Maybe it was me that played it over and over. lol! I love Dwight. But I no longer listen to the same song over and over... I try to mix it up a bit. :)
And of course, I went "ooooh yeah" when you mentioned the names. In fact, we have a Glenn Frey CD.
no - it was you matt, it might have been before or just after the song you did like, but it was definitely in ohio (i couldn't forget that section of my life if i tried)
Well, "Pocket Of A Clown" was the first song on the CD, the second was "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" and the ONLY ones on the CD that I MIGHT have listened to over and over are "Two Doors Down" and "Home For Sale"... :)
A thousand miles from nowhere and Two doors down are both excellent. Home for sale is just 'okay' to me though. Fast as you, and This time are also good... okay I like the whole CD! Interesting too, because out of all the music I listened to at the time (when was that? 1992-ish?), I think Dwight is the only one whose CDs I still pull out. Maybe the Judds from time to time, but that's only because Wynonna and I sing in the same key so it's easy for me to sing along to her. lol
Well, I rarely pull out CD's these days, I just use my iPod... :)
But yeah, Dwight Yoakam is one of the few I still listen to today that I listened to when I was younger... :)
Although, there IS a Patti Loveless CD I used to have years ago that I CAN'T find anywhere that I used to listen to over and over years ago, I wonder if I would still like it...

Yeah... Probably one of the few bands that I can't think of a song they sing I don't like...
I like the Eagles also, but of course have no clue as to who the originals were :)

They do sing a lot of singalong music Petra, much to my family's chagrin... :)

Oh, and I sing constantly... especially if I am alone in the car. I crank it up and sing at the top of my lungs. Nothing beats it. :D
And of course, I like to make up my own lyrics to familiar tunes around the house... usually rhyming lyrics about what is going on. I'm so cool.
