Yeah, my front lawn has gone to shit!! :(
It was looking quite nice until we went to CA for two weeks, then when we got back we were in a drought and were not supposed to water... I suppose it will have to wait until Spring before I can do anything else with it...

we got the canon elura 100 which we like, but i think the days of the miniDV are numbered..
My video skills aren't great either. But hey - at least you transferred some to youtube! Mine are all just sitting there and we haven't even watched half of them. lol.
We have a Canon something or other that uses the small DVR (is that what they are called?) videotapes, but it easily hooks up to the desktop (the laptop doesn't have the right kind of connection). I think if I get another one in the future, I'll get one that records directly to DVD.
And I just saw that the same post is on the page like 4 times? Issues with putting the youtube post on here? :)
Okay now it's just on there once. So strange. Maybe it's me? Maybe I was just having vision issues and thought I saw it four times??? Wow.
LOL!! I suppose I could just say it's you! :) I tried posting it last night and it wouldn't post, so I finally just embedded it on the blog, then today it keeps showing up, and I keep deleting it! I've deleted the 'other three' twice now... :)

As for a video camera, I saw this one on tv: SAMSUNG PROGRESSIVE HD CAMCORDER SC-HMX10C and it looks really neat. Lightweight (in your hand small) and takes a photo card thing that you can take right from the thing and into your computer. Plus it is a digital camera, too. Kinda pricey, though. :D
Ouch! Yeah, that's out of my price range! I'm cheap when it comes to electronics... I was thinking more along the lines of $300 +/- :)
LOL!! yea, and it will be old news in just a year or so. :D
