Before...
So I've spent the past three days emptying out the office so I can finally put the slate down that has been stacked in Cory's room for who knows how long... It's LONG overdue for it I might add, I think it's the only room in the house that hasn't gotten a new floor put down (well, except Cory's room, but he doesn't live here, so it hasn't ever seemed all that urgent... :) So anyway, here are the before shots, hopefully the after pics will be up within a few days! :)

Yeah, I am in desperate need of a new camera... Of course the one I've got is about two and a half years old, which as far as technology is concerned, makes it nearly an antique...
Cool - I'm about to rip up the carpet in my office and put down wood floors to match the rest of the condo. My bedroom will be the only room with carpet. I almost started this past weekend, but got busy putting new light fixtures in the hallway and bedrooms - while trying not to fall off the ladder :-). The ceiling in my bedrooms is WAY high to be up there working.
Awesome! Can't wait to see the results. I can't wait to have a house to just do what I want to. We're hoping to buy one in N.C. :)
Matt - I have heard great things about this point and shoot camera: Olympus Stylus - and from scrapbookers, who are very picky about their photos since they don't get published if the photos on their layouts aren't perfect. :) I'm thinking about getting this as a 'pocket' camera when I don't want to lug around my SLR. :)
and p.s. Black Friday is coming up - perfect day to buy something like a camera. :)
I hate carpet! We are wondering why we ever had carpet installed upstairs... I also don't much care for heights... :)
You can get that camera on Ebay for $180 Petra... Looks like a good one.
There WAS carpet in that office, and wow...
Oh I know - carpet is SO unsanitary!! It just grabs all the dirt and grime and germs and holds them there forever and puts all that ick back in the air that you breathe. So gross. I like having it in bedrooms - or at least rugs, but the rest of the house - wood or tile!
Yeah, I started looking again and several new ones have come out since I last looked. I'm now thinking I need the newest, latest & greatest one. :)
Yes, carpet isn't the best. That's why I'm tearing the rest of it up :-) - well, except for in the bedroom. As you said, I do like it in the bedroom.
I was kind of putting a hold on making any more changes to the condo - but now that it looks like I'll be living here a while. I figured might as well go ahead and make it all nice and comfy :-).

I hate carpet too, i have white carpet throughout and its horrible!!! i steam clean it sooo much, and its a LOT of work
Yeah, we may end up ripping out some of that carpet we had installed not long ago! Bad move!
Carpet steam cleaners? Yeah, we are on our second one, not sure what we would do without one if we had to rent one all the time...
I'm wondering if the Canon Powershot SD1100 IS is any good??
Matt - I just heard someone going on and on about how awesome the Powershot SD 880 was; it's probably similar, no?

We are getting ready to buy a carpet cleaner - we have borrowed them here and there, but decided it's time to just buy one. The people that lived here before us (this house was a year old when we moved in) were HORRID on the carpet and all their stains started rising to the surface about a month after we moved in. Nice. We have cleaned the carpets a couple of times, but the stains just come back, plus the stains our kids have added to the mix (even though we have a food-in-the-kitchen and shoes-off-at-the-door rule). Stain-free floors just make a place look so much better!
I'm sure I'll be coming to y'all for advice about the best flooring when we get our own house (if it doesn't already have wood and/or tile floors!) :)
yeah, we aren't having any carpet in our house, just wood or tile floors with rugs. We have alredy purchased a few rugs that will go with the new color schemes. We only have carpet in the boy's rooms but that will be ripped out soon :).
Oh, don't get me started on the carpets!!! :D You all know how I feel about them.... ESPECIALLY WHITE ONES!! :D
And, as an FYI... the camera we have is the Olympus Stylus... save your money! :D Or, it could just be me, that wouldn't suprise me either! :D
